Šacherová back on top & Záhorský goes for 2nd consecutive victory

Wyboston Lakes in the United Kingdom hosted the second round of the MotoSurf WorldCup championship and it was a real stunner! Beautiful Ride Leisure facilities made it a fantastic background for the fastest motorized surfers in the world.

Throughout the weekend, it was super intense on the track. Series leader Lukáš Záhorský was fastest in qualifying followed by Jakub Kornfeil just 0.146 seconds behind. Záhorský and Kornfeil were 1st and 2nd respectively after the heats. A sensation came from the British Rebel Surf Team‘s Louis Allen hoping for top 20, he made it to final A by finishing the 4th fastest in Final B.

Martina Bravencová stormed the initial qualifying and heats in the womens class. Aneta Šacherová followed with second and home girl Anya Coley was third in the heats total scoring.

Coming to the finals, Záhorský and Kornfeil were pretty close the whole race. Being board on board every single lap, these two guys definitely stole the weekend’s show. Final A late stages brought a dramatic moment where the two topguns touched each other and crashed. Záhorský won and Kornfeil came out 2nd. In the second final round, it was Kornfeil being victorious with Záhorský coming in second. The two ended tied on points but Captain Candy’s Záhorský grabbed the overall victory thanks to his better qualifying time. Last year’s title contender Sebastian Kubinec returned to the podium with 3rd. Home team rider Louis Allen from the Rebel Surf squad scored amazing 12th in the overall finals.

In the womens class, it was very close between Martina Bravencová and Aneta Šacherová. Martina managed to dominate the qualifiers and the heats but Aneta found her pace better in both the finals sweeping both rounds. Bravencová took 2nd and Jetsurf Factory’s Anya Colley finished 3rd after super consistent performances.
