Ms. Irene Ho Nga Ieng, President of the Macao Motosurf Association, shared, “It’s been incredible to watch our MotoSurf family grow. We’re thrilled to bring the season finale back to Macao—this time with even more buzz and energy thanks to the new Coastal Market. With 80 riders from 19 countries and regions, including standout names from China like Zhang Maozhu, this weekend truly puts Macao at the heart of the global MotoSurf map.”

Mr. Martin Jančálek, Director of the MSWC, commented, “Macao has quickly become a fan-favourite stop on the MotoSurf World Championship tour. Following our debut at this year’s World Games in Chengdu, we’re proud to see Asia emerge as a vibrant hub for motosurfing. With new races being added in the region, and stronger participation from Asian athletes, the momentum is undeniable—and Macao is right at the heart of that expansion.”

Background

Last year’s inaugural edition in Macao saw over 120 international riders from 22 countries and regions. While this year is more streamlined, it remains a vital milestone in Macao’s sports calendar—coinciding with the 72nd Macau Grand Prix and the conclusion of the National Games, reinforcing Macao’s ongoing transformation into a dynamic hub of sporting excellence.

The Coastal Market will remain open to the public from today till the end of the event period, offering free access to locals and tourists.

Fans are invited to experience the action live at Hac Sa Beach or via online broadcast channels.
