Aneta Sacherova awarded 2022 UIM Driver of the Year
The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) is delighted to announce that Aneta Šacherová from Czech Republic and Naomi Benini from Italy have been elected 2022 UIM Driver of the Year and 2022 UIM Junior Driver of the Year respectively. It is the first time that the two Awards, which are presented annually, have been bestowed upon two female riders since their inception. This is a memorable “first” for the UIM and for the powerboating community, and we offer our sincere congratulations to Aneta and Naomi.

Aneta Šacherová, the reigning “Queen of MotoSurf”, has been dominating the competition for the last couple of years with her unrivalled performances. In 2022, Aneta has added an impressive fifth World Championship title to her collection, making her the most decorated female racer in the discipline. Following the season’s final race, the Czech Republic native announced her retirement from professional racing, but she will remain within the sport as new member of the UIM Equality & Athletes Committees.
