Kornfeil and Bravencová fastest qualifiers of #mswcbrno

The 2018 season opener of MotoSurf WorldCup at Brno Dam delivered names of the fastest qualifiers. It was a real drama in the men’s class as Lukáš Záhorský posted the fastest lap in the first part of the qualifying and was the man to beat. For the first time ever, superpole was part of the qualifying program. It means one hot lap to more for the top four guys to mark their absolute best. Jakub Kornfeil was determined to get that pole and made it a 0.1 second faster than Záhorský who was still about to go for his last quali shot. Unfortunate Captain Candy #brave MSWC team’s Záhorský tried his best but a technical issue prevented him from taking the pole. Eventually, it was Jakub Kornfeil from the Jetsurf Factory Team taking the pole position with 46.238 seconds.

In women class, reigning world champion Martina Bravencová stopped the clock on amazing 49.499 and dominated the session. The closest rival was Aneta Šacherová with 50.569. Aneta has seemed very sharp and determined to be back on top. Renka Kelemenová from Slovakia came third. Home girls from Brno did very well as they all made it into top 10. Klárka Sitarová took 4th, Martina Lukscheider 6th, Elisabeta Faitová made it to 9th and the top 10 was closed by Barbora Janošková.

The #mswcbrno weekend continues with Saturday’s heat and the finals where the overall winner will be decided.
