Lukscheider smashes Elite class as Matouskova extends women championship lead.

Third round of the UIM MotoSurf World Championship 2024 stopped in southern Sweden, in magnificent city fo Bastad. Riders from 16 countries competed in seven different classes and the crowd could witness intense battles in beautiful scenery of the Bastad Harbour.

Elite Class – Lukscheider back on top

Apex Pilot’s Alex Lukscheider rode in perfect pace throughout the whole weekend and dominated the whole program. After a difficult start of the season, the likeable Czech racer concluded the finals in Sweden in 1st place and celebrations shouting: “I’m back!”. The current series leader Matyáš Novotný finished the heats in 3rd to improve for 2nd in the finals. Klima Race Team’s Lukas Kozon went for 3rd in the finals and stood on the last podium podium step.

Stock Class – Glory for Damian Kadlec as Hasan Boabbas returns on podium

The weekend in Sweden went pretty well for the Czech teenager Damian Kadlec who was starting to the finals from 2nd behind Minseong Kim. Damian had a great start and consistent ride brought him victory. The championship leader Minseong Kim from South Korea concluded the weekend in 2nd and Kuwaiti speedster Hasan Boabbas returned on podium after two years. 

Women – Eliska Matouskova extends the championship lead and is looking to be the first ever direct qualified World Games motosurfer

Rivalry between Eliska Matouskova and Aneta Stloukalova continued in Sweden. Both riders finished the heats tied on points seeing Eliska starting 1st to the final for taking the pole position. In the finals, Eliska kept the lead straight from the beginning and controlled the final session. Mattech Racing’s Aneta Stloukalova went for 2nd and Eliska Charousova completed the fastest trio of the Women Class.

Stock R Class – Unfortunate Mike Michaelides opened doors for Denis Dusilek’s victory. Great ride by the Czech talent led to the top podium step and a premiere victory. Thai representative Vatcharasak Jantorn rode in a brilliant pace and concluded the finals in 2nd and the podium was completed by another Czech David Krcka. 

Korean speedster Down Kim controlled the weekend in Master Class and left Sweden with another victory under his belt. Czech racer Zdenek Kostelecky rode a good weekend for 2nd overall and his compatriot Roman Kozon scored the first podium of the season with 3rd. 

The Junior Boys class was under full control of three Czech speedsters. Adam Kolar found the best pace in the qualification but Sebastian Kostelecky stole the show in the finals and concluded the weekend on the top podium spot. Poleman Adam Kolar went for 2nd overall while younger brother – Mikulas Kostelecky managed to cross the checkered flag in solid 3rd. 

Kristyna Hrbkova built up on her fantastic pace this season and extended collection of victories for the Swedish glory. Slovakian flag waved high thanks to great performance of Sara Zuborova who rode with great speed. Rocket Racing’s Laura Markora returned on the podium with solid ride in the finals. 

Electric Challenge saw first ever German podium as MotoSurf Club Germany represented by Sebastian Lux and Fabian Kusche managed to finish 2nd and 3rd respectively. The crowd in Sweden witnessed another victorious ride by six time World Champion Lukas Zahorsky who gained another important victory for the championship.

The next GP is staged in Rodi Garganico, Italy, on 6th – 8th September.
