MotoSurf World Champions received their trophies in Olympic Museum in Lausanne
The World of Powerboat Racing came together and recognised the achievements of the 2019 UIM Racing Season World Champions at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, held on the 7th March 2020.
In attendance will be dozens of world-class competitors as well as important, representatives from the UIM’s National Authorities, international sports federation members and VIP guests.
MotoSurf WorldCup – part of the U.I.M. Federation, was invited to celebrate incredible efforts and success of the youngest powerboat discipline’s World Champions. In women class, it was Aneta Šacherová adding her third world title to collection. Happy Aneta Šacherová accompanied to the Gala evening by her father added:
“It feels great to be here again. This is the iconic sport venue and I am honoured to receive my trophy right here. At the same time, it’s really emncouraging towards the upcoming season where my goal is clear – to be the fastest girl on motorized surfboard.“
The men class champion Lukas Zahorsky is also a very well known person across the powerboating world. Having collected three titles so far, showing amazing performances with his iconic riding style. Young likeable professional comments:
“I am super proud of holding another world championship trophy. Being awarded right here in the Olympic capital in Lausanne feels incredible. There is a lot of history and I am so happy two Czech born motorized surfboards world champion can come here and admire the mark our compatriots Emil Zátopek and Jan Železný left in the world of olympics. I truly believe in our sport and I can’t wait to the upcoming season.“
