MotoSurf WorldCup new qualifying model

The new MotoSurf WorldCup qualifying model will be held with two riders on the course. The rider’s duo will slot numbers to decide who rides first (rider A) and who rides second (rider B). Rider with higher number from the slots chooses order in the run. The duels are based on the current championship standings from down to top positions. If the duo has no points to the championship, order in the round is based according to sloted numbers. The first rider is signalized with green flag to start his two laps qualifying run. Meanwhile, the second rider goes out on the water and cruises in front of behind the pillar of the Bridge at the Prague track. When the first rider passes half of the track of the first run, the second rider is signalized to begin his qualifying run (by green flag).

Each lap, green flag signalizes clear way for another lap or checkered flag for end of the run. After crossing the checkered flag, rider tries to exit the track safely.

Both riders will have two laps to score the best possible qualifying lap time where the faster is counted except of the situations:

A) Rider A crashes in first run

In case of rider A crash, rider B will have an extra lap due to incorrect track conditions for qualifying.

B) Rider B crashes in first run

In case of rider B crash when rider A still has one qualifying lap, rider A will have one more lap extra due to incorrect track conditions for qualifying.

C) Rider A crashes in second run

In case of rider A crash, rider B will have an extra lap due to incorrect track conditions for qualifying.

D) Rider B crashes in second run

In case of path of the rider A cannot be influenced by crash of rider B, rider A will not have one more lap extra.

E) Rider A or B has some technical issues

Rider with no issues completes the qualifying. Rider with technical issues will have his/her own run at the end of qualifying after all riders have completed their runs. This run has two laps distance, no additional laps will be added for runs with crashes.
