Šacherová and Záhorský unstoppable in the UK

UIM MotoSurf WorldCup stopped at Wyboston Lakes, Great Britatin for its third stop in the Championship. Beautiful Ride Leisure facility welcomed thirty eight riders in the men class and thirteen women on the entry list. For the second time this season, Junior Cup accompanied the main MotoSurf WorldCup competition.

Tradition three days racing format began on Friday with the qualifyings where we saw a big surprise. Riding in an incredible form, Race Tool’s Team Pavel Heiník stopped the fastest laptime on the clock and grabbed his first ever poleposition. Women class saw an absence of Martina Bravencová. Her rival Aneta Šacherová caught the opportunity on Friday straight away for quickest qualifying lap time.

Saturday programme opened heat rounds and three guys shined brightest in the sessions. Lukáš Záhorský remained undefeated as well as AbuDhabi race winner Petr Průcha and surprisingly, Martin Šula left Saturday with full points score in his pocket. We managed to stop Martin and he told us little bit about his motivation of running the whole jetsurf business and being a competitor in MotoSurf WorldCup.

Aneta Šacherová topped her group’s heats and so did Klára Sitarová for tied on points finish. Jetsurf Factory Team’s Anya Colley was doing great on home turf and concluded heats in 3rd.

Junior Cup brought 6 young talents on the water again. This time in the UK, Captain Candy Brave’s David Novotný found the best pace throught the 23 buoys track.

Before the final rounds were kicked off on Sunday, Final B was still about to give four names of those proceeding to Final A . and it was super interesting battle coming up seeing home riders Rui Merrals, Jeff Scott, Troy Corser and Thomas Horne. Unfotunatelly, we saw an accident right after start that rulled out Jeff Scott out of the game for the rest of the day. In the restarted session, Filip Sihelský, Vít Limr, Troy Corser and Ondřej Musil proceeded to Final A.

The Final A was complete and Filip Sihelský coming from the Final B surprised the crowd with First Lap victory. For the first time in his career, he was awarded for winning the first lap. However, the rest of the finals belonged to Lukáš Záhorský who dominated the run.

Elisabeta Faitová made a superb start in the women class and stole first lap award. Reigning WorldChampion Aneta Šacherová didn’t hesitate to use out her huge opportunity and made it to victory. Anya Colley came 2nd after amazing performance and Renata Kelemenová closed the top three.

In the second finals of the men, Sandro Gantar from Slovenia reacted the best on the lights and led the way for first two laps. This performance brought him first lap award trophy and boosting 4th place overall finish. The victory went again to hands of reigning world champion Lukáš Záhorský who went for maximum points in the finals. Pavel Heiník turned his strong qualifying pace into two strong finals for 2nd place overally. Abu Dhabi winner Petr Průcha returned on the podium finishing 3rd.

The Junior Cup Competition saw Jetsurf Factory’s Stanislav Kovář victorious in front of amazingly riding Josh Sharp from X-Surf Racing. Alex Lukscheider flew the Captain Candy’s team flag highest in 3rd.
