Thrilling Battles at Regione Puglia GP of Italy in Marina del Gargano

The beautiful harbor of Manfredonia hosted another spectacular round of the international motor surfing championship as the Regione Puglia GP of Italy delivered a weekend full of adrenaline, close battles, and unforgettable moments on the water.

In the Elite class, Czech rider Matyáš Novotný claimed a well-deserved victory after a commanding performance throughout the event. His fellow countryman Lukáš Záhorský finished second, while local favorite Alex Lukscheidercompleted the podium in third place.

The Women’s class saw a historic first victory for Slovak rider Sára Žuborová, who impressed the crowd with a flawless and confident ride. Aneta Stloukalová finished second, strengthening her lead in the overall championship standings. Another Slovak competitor, Emma Strculová, capitalized on a crash by Eliška Matoušková to take third place.

In the highly competitive Stock class, the racing was intense from start to finish. A dramatic moment occurred when Down Kim and Adam Janošek made contact in one of the heats. Despite the clash, Adam Janošek went on to secure his first career victory, with Antony Squire of the USA taking second, and Hasan Boabbas charging through the field to claim third place.

The Merlin Plus Stock R category was dominated by Adam Kolář, who controlled the race from start to finish. Fares Ramadhan and Mike Michaelides rounded out the top three after strong performances.

In the Masters class, it was Down Kim who returned to the top with a commanding win, finishing ahead of Czech riders Petr Faltejsek and David Pozdník.

The Junior Boys division brought one of the most exciting finals of the weekend. Matyáš Barvík surged from third on the grid to take the victory, followed by Stanislav Kohout in second and Maxmilián Hruška, who celebrated his first-ever podium with third place.

In Junior Girls, the Italian waters favored Ellen Burdová, who confirmed her role as the favorite by winning the final. Isabela Krejsková finished second, and Nela Pozdníková took third place after a consistent performance.

The Electric Surf class was dominated by Belgian rider Yano Vankersbilck, who powered his way to victory ahead of the German duo Sebastian Lux and Fabian Kusche in second and third, respectively.

The championship now moves to Zadar, Croatia, where riders will continue their battle for crucial championship points next weekend.
