UIM MotoSurf WorldCup ready for the season finals
UIM MotoSurf WorldCup – ultimate racing series of motorized surfboards – is ready for the season finals. After races in Czech Republic, Belgium, Russia and Colombia, the championship returns to Europe, where the season culminates in Croatia.
MotoSurf WorldCup is the only world‘s powerboating competition including disciplines of adults men and women, juniors and fully electric powered crafts. The whole range of disciplines will be presented to spectators at Plaža Borik right in front of Falkensteiner Premium Camping Facility. Besides motorized surfing disciplines, the series plans innaugural E-Foil Masters which will witness racers on electric powered e-foils on a separate race course. The three days event expects riders from all around the world summing up 13 nationalities representatives from America, Asia and Europe.
The Championship comes to Croatia with question mark about the future Champion in the most prestigious Open Class. MotoSurf legend and three times winner Lukas Zahorsky will defend Nikolas Blaha for his 4thtitle. The specators can come and cheer for home racer Dejan Svirać representing the flag of Croatia. In the brand new Stock Class – category for factory set-up boards – Marek Škamla from Slovakia has enough advantage to get his first world title. However, battle for podium will continue as Alain Coppens from Belgium will be aiming the top 3 overally. Jonghoon Lee from South Korea comes to Croatia after successful premiere in Russia taking 4thand now aiming the premiere podium for South Korea. The women class will see four times champion Aneta Sacherova going for fourth glory while doors for the podium steps are still open for several riders including 7 times jetski world champion Anya Colley from Great Britain. The titles will be decided in Juniors and Electric Challenge competitions.
For the first time ever in the Championship, the series will welcome a brand new category of E-Foil Masters which will compete as a side discipline in the racing programme. Flying above the water level is now coming to racing shape with MotoSurf WorldCup cup bringing the electric foiling on the competitive stage.
The weekend starts on Friday with Free practices and qualifyings, continues with Heats (races in groups) on Saturday, and the Finals will highlight the weekend on Sunday from noon.
From Friday to Sunday, the visitors will have a chance to take part in test ride of electric skateboards at JetSurf Tent at Plaža Borik.
