Falkensteiner Resort Zadar is set to host the UIM MotoSurf WorldCup in 2021 with an option for 2022 and 2023.
The UIM MotoSurf WorldCup concluded a successful campaign in 2019 witnessing racing action on three continents and five beautiful destinations. The 2020 season unfortunately didn’t find much luck with the world’s pandemic situation which lead to the cancellation of the entire (race) calendar.
For the upcoming season, the motorized surfboard world cup aims to organize five races in Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, Russia and Kuwait City. The sixth race of the season shall be hosted by Berrancabermeja, Colombia which will welcome the very first MotoSurf Nations event.
Another premiere of the UIM MotoSurf WorldCup will happen in Croatia where the series heads for the first time in its history. Carbon fibre surfboards with petrol and fully electric engines will measure their performances in Zadar at the facilities of Falkensteiner Resorts. The resort is a famous and well experienced organizer of sports events tournaments on the European & World stages. On May – 7th– 9th, engines will rev up at Plaža Borik which is connected to the Falkensteiner Funimation facility.
The racing action will be happening in a traditional three day format. Friday plans free practices and qualifications, Saturday will offer group battles in heats and the finals will come up on Sunday afternoon. We will witness the competitions of men class in Open and Stock class, women will hit the water in Women category. Juniors and Rookies will enjoy their time in the WorldCup too as well as the Electric Challenge – fully electric powered boards competition.
